Credit-Rating, a nationally recognized credit rating agency in Ukraine has today assigned a long-term credit rating of uaBBB- (uaBBB minus) to the city of Kramatorsk (‘City’). The agency has also assigned a long-term credit rating of uaBBB- (uaBBB minus) to City’s upcoming issue of coupon bonds (1-A series). The issue size is UAH15m with the original maturity of 5 years.

The International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, provided a $9 million loan to Zeus Ceramica, a ceramic tile manufacturer located in Slovyansk, Donetsk Region in Ukraine. IFC’s financing will help the company expand its operations and improve its balance sheet.

In May of this year, companies in the Donetsk region increased production of construction materials, glass and other mineral products by 8.3% as compared to the previous month, and by 14.8% as compared to May of last year.

The Czech Republic is very interested in tuning up of closer relations with Donetsk region. Mr.Karel Shtindl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, head of Czech delegation, declared this intention during the meeting with Nikolay Volkov, First Deputy Mayor of Donetsk.
